this is the opening theme for the taiwanese soap opera/comedy 花样少年少女 (hua yang shao nian shao nu/the tricks of boys and girls?), based on the manga hanazakari no kimitachi e, which i just finished watching. the series follows lu ruixi, played by ella chen of s.h.e. (and the protagonist of the music video), a girl who disguises herself as a boy basically to stalk her idol zuo yiquan, played by wu zun of fahrenheit (who plays the male interest in the music video), because he goes to an all-boys school. meanwhile jin xiuyi, played by jiro wang of fahrenheit, falls in love with ruixi and begins to question his sexuality. obv, hilarity ensues.
